I don't recommend replacing your existing OS with it. A second hdd is the safest way to go. It will still overwrite your current boot-loader if it detects it, so I opt to disconnect the current OS drive.

this is wear having more then one computer comes in handy, I use my older systems to test out newer OS's

I might give windows 8 preview a try if I get bored enough.

There are also some reports (from Win8 Consumer installers) of people borking the MBR (Master Boot Record) on the Win 7 drive when they chose to install Win8 to a separate HDD. So, just be careful with that one and have a good backup image at least of Win7. I installed it to a separate partition on my existing Win7 drive and had no problems with the install. Haven't tried Folding on it yet. Crunching on Win8 required that I roll back to older 32bit Boinc software. That usually comes with trying out a pre-release (or even new) OS and is part of the deal.

I havent tried windows 8, BUT I did have simalar issues with the latest Nvidia drivers, and had to roll back to 285.62

Hi guys

Any one installed Win 8 and still folding ok???
Got the correct working 290 driver running on it
But it seems it doesn't like picking up any GPU's at all.
CPU/Smp works fine

Knew i shouldn't of installed it... Grrr
May have to strip it off and do a clean reinstall of Win 7 again

I've reinstall Tracker as well
