﻿<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><rss version="2.0"><channel><title>USB 3.0 Card will not De-Power on Disconnection of USB 3.0 device</title><link>http://www.evga.com/forums/</link><description /><copyright>(c) EVGA Forums</copyright><ttl>30</ttl><item><title>Re:USB 3.0 Card will not De-Power on Disconnection of USB 3.0 device (bmxjumperc)</title><description>  Not sure but I have problems with the on board USB 3.0 ports on my Z68, the renesas drivers just crash with an external hard drive connected, it might have something to do with the drive not powering down or on when I boot and shutdown, similarly it is fine on USB 2.0 ports. &lt;br&gt;  </description><link>http://www.evga.com/forums/fb.ashx?m=1439145</link><pubDate>Wed, 01 Feb 2012 13:56:58 GMT</pubDate></item><item><title>USB 3.0 Card will not De-Power on Disconnection of USB 3.0 device (ccdpix)</title><description>  I have a X58 motherboard (141-BL-E760-A1-X58 RT) on which I have installed a USB 3.0 card.&amp;nbsp; The card has the latest drivers.&amp;nbsp; When I plug a USB 3.0 external device into the USB 3.0 card, it recognizes the device.&amp;nbsp; When I disconnect the device, the 3.0 card does not de-power.&amp;nbsp; When I attempt to reconnect the USB 3.0 device, it will not be recognized, because the card thinks that the previous&amp;nbsp;device is still connected to it.&amp;nbsp; In an attempt to solve the problem, I updated the chipset drivers for the motherboard.&amp;nbsp; Still the same problem.&amp;nbsp; I have not updated the bios yet.&amp;nbsp; I am still trying to find out whether it should install version 82 or 83 for the bios update.&amp;nbsp; Which bios update should I use?&amp;nbsp; If the bios update does not correct the problem, short of replacing the USB 3.0 card, what would you suggest?&amp;nbsp; A couple of extra points:&amp;nbsp; When I do the initial connection of the USB 3.0 device, it thinks that the device is unformatted (it shows up as a raw device in disk management).&amp;nbsp; When I connect the USB device using a USB 2.0 port, it connects normally and it also sees the devices as correctly formatted.&amp;nbsp; Obviously, the device works just fine using a USB 2.0 port.&amp;nbsp; Thanks for any informaton.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br&gt;  </description><link>http://www.evga.com/forums/fb.ashx?m=1413217</link><pubDate>Sat, 14 Jan 2012 10:59:40 GMT</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
